Veterinary medications
Veterinary regulation runs on a parallel statutory track. Animal drugs are approved through New Animal Drug Applications (NADAs), Abbreviated New Animal Drug Applications (ANADAs) and, since the MUMS Act of 2004, Conditional NADAs (CNADAs) that permit marketing on a reasonable expectation of effectiveness while confirmatory trials run.
